  1. This table shows funding provided by the Australian Government, state and territory governments and local government authorities and by the major non-government sources of funding for health care. It does not show total expenditure on health goods and services.
  2. Expenditure on health goods and services by workers compensation and compulsory third-party motor vehicle insurers, as well as other sources of income (for example, rent, interest earned) for service providers.
  3. Public hospital services exclude certain services undertaken in hospitals. Can include services provided off-site, such as hospital in the home, dialysis or other services.
  4. 'Other' denotes 'other recurrent health services n.e.c.'.
  5. Total health funding has not been adjusted to include non-specific tax expenditure as funding by the Australian Government.
