Great Place To Work 2008Over 140 staff responded to an externally-conducted survey by Great Place to Work Australia. These responses were analysed, and a large percentage of comments fell into one or more of the following themes:

  • there is a strong focus on work-life balance  
  • there are flexible work practices  
  • quality and relationship with co-workers is extremely positive and strong  
  • employers feel pride in the work they do  
  • senior staff are accessible and approachable  

Here is a sample of the comments received from staff:

There is a true atmosphere of cooperation and family here... 

The executive are mindful and work hard to ensure that work-life balance is [a] day to day reality for the employees... 

A strong work ethic permeating all levels of employees, reflecting in high quality products. A very staff-friendly environment with great flexibility in working patterns. 

The people here are great to work with. The culture is friendly and helpful, almost family like. It's a very family friendly organisation - I can get time off to do special events with my family.
