The child welfare project area consists of two main sub-projects:
Child protection-including the collection and dissemination of data on:
- child protection notifications, investigations and substantiations
- children on care and protection orders
- children in out-of-home care
- intensive family support services
Adoptions-including the collection and dissemination of data on:
- adoption of Australian children
- intercountry adoptions
