Closing the Gap Clearinghouse

A clearinghouse for evidence-based research on overcoming disadvantage for Indigenous Australians

The Clearinghouse provides access to a collection of information on what works to overcome Indigenous disadvantage. The Council of Australian Governments (COAG) has set seven building blocks which support the COAG targets to overcome Indigenous disadvantage.

In the Clearinghouse

  • The assessed collection — material assessed by experts, including research, evaluations, programs and related activities.
  • The general collection — research, evaluations and other material relating to overcoming Indigenous disadvantage that have not been assessed by the Clearinghouse.
  • Publications — papers that will be published by the Clearinghouse, including issues papers, resource sheets and an annual paper on gaps in the available research and evaluation evidence and future research priorities.
  • Research & evaluation register — research and evaluations relevant to overcoming Indigenous disadvantage. Add your research to the register.

The Closing the Gap Clearinghouse is a Council of Australian Governments initiative jointly funded by all Australian Governments. It is being delivered by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare in collaboration with the Australian Institute of Family Studies.
