NATIONAL DRUG STRATEGY HOUSEHOLD SURVEYS

A series of surveys auspiced by the National Drug Strategy (and its predecessors and successors). The 1998, 2001, 2004, 2007 and 2010 surveys were conducted by the AIHW. It is a national household survey of non-institutionalised persons aged 14 years and over (12 years and over from 2004).

A confidentialised unit record file for public access is available at the Australian Social Science Data Archives at the ANU: http://ssda.anu.edu.au . (available September 2011 for the not yet available for the 2010 NDSHS) Public access to the master unit record data requires application to the AIHW Ethics Committee.
