National Housing Supply Council view in METeOR

The National Housing Supply Council was established by the Australian Government in May 2008 to monitor housing demand, supply and affordability in Australia, and to highlight current and potential gaps between housing supply and demand from households. It is an independent group that operates at arms length from government and reports to the Minister for Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities.

The Council's Terms of Reference include producing an annual State of Supply Report that aggregates and assesses information on land supply and demand for housing from all levels of government and the private sector.
