Welcome to the Disability Services National Minimum Data Set (DS NMDS) collection page.

From 1 January 2009, the National Disability Agreement (NDA) replaced the Commonwealth State/Territory Disability Agreement (CSTDA) for the provision of disability services in Australia. Since 1 July 2009, the CSTDA NMDS has been referred to as the DS NMDS though there are no changes to the structure or content of the NMDS.

The DS NMDS collection materials for the current (2012–13) collection are below.

DS NMDS data guide

The Disability Services National Minimum Data Set (DS NMDS) data guide provides detailed information about all data items in the DS NMDS and step-by-step guidance on completing the collection. Please contact your Network representative to check if there are any local additions or variations to data items you are asked to provide.

DS NMDS Service Type Outlet and Service User forms

The following forms are to be used by those Service Type Outlets who wish to use paper forms. Please contact your Network representative to check if there are any local additions or variations to data items you are asked to provide.

DS NMDS data transmission and technical guide

The Disability Services National Minimum Data Set (DS NMDS) data transmission and technical guide has been developed to assist National Disability Agreement (NDA) funded agencies to provide data for the DS NMDS collection. It sets out the technical requirements for the handling and submission of DS NMDS data.
