'Best Company to Work for in 2008'

Great Place to Work™ Australia is dedicated to building a better society by helping organisations to transform their workplaces. Their work is based on the major findings of more than 20 years of research - that trust between managers and employees is the primary defining characteristic of the best workplaces. They offer services and tools to help companies build trust and become more effective organisations.

Each year, Great Place to Work™ Australia conducts a detailed study of workplace culture across a wide range of Australian organisations. They share the detailed results of this study with all participating organisations, and also identify and honour the 'Best Companies to Work for in Australia' in order to recognise organisations in which employees are provided with a great work environment, and to encourage other organisations to become great workplaces.

Companies are selected for the Best Companies lists primarily on the basis of their employees' responses to the Great Place to Work™ Trust Index©, a proprietary employee survey developed by the Great Place to Work™ Institute. Further information used for selection to the list is provided by completion of the Great Place to Work™ Culture Audit©, a two part management questionnaire, also developed by the Great Place to Work™ Institute.

The primary purpose of the annual 'Best Companies' study is to facilitate the sharing of important knowledge amongst all organisations that have a sincere wish to improve the quality of their workplaces.
