Background
The Institute has six Groups led by Senior Executives, all reporting to the Director (Agency Head).
Housing and Disability Group
This Group is a new Group formed to give a higher profile to the important work the Institute has been doing in the housing, homelessness and disability areas. This Group is responsible for producing statistics and information on a range of subjects relating to housing, homelessness and disability.
Job description
The Senior Executive will provide leadership and professional expertise to steer the Group into areas of strategic relevance to the Institute's position as a health and welfare information leader. He/she will lead a team of Unit Heads with responsibility for the following topics:
- Functioning and Disability
- Housing Assistance
- Housing Data Analysis
- Supported Accommodation and Crisis Services
enabling common issues relating to these topics to be managed within one Group.
Duty statement
- Develop, formulate and direct the strategic relevance and productivity of the Housing and Disability Group of the Institute.
- Promote business development for the Institute through strengthening liaison and negotiating with Commonwealth and State authorities and relevant non-Government organisations.
- Provide program management expertise for a team of specialist staff within the Group.
- Participate as a member of the Executive and contribute to the development of the Institute's corporate directions.
