Welcome dinner
As part of the conference package, dinner is included for all delegates to enjoy. It is a great opportunity to network as well as listen to Maryanne Demasi from the ABC's Catalyst program.

Maryanne worked for a decade as a hands-on research scientist. She completed a PhD in Medicine at the University of Adelaide, travelling around Australia and overseas presenting her PhD findings. Maryanne has specialised in rheumatoid arthritis research, based at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. Her innovative research has appeared in several internationally published medical journals. More recently Maryanne hung up her lab coat, picked up a microphone, and began working as a medical-science reporter for Channel 7 news. After two years, she gained a reputation for reliable, accurate journalism and for breaking news on the latest medical stories. Maryanne has also worked as an advisor to South Australia's Minister for Science and Information Economy. Maryanne now works as a presenter and producer for ABC TV's flagship science program, Catalyst. |
