Social and Emotional Wellbeing Workshop 2006

As agreed at the May 2006 NAGATSIHID meeting, the AIHW convened a workshop on the Social and Emotional Wellbeing module used in the 2004/05 National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Survey (NATSIHS). The workshop was held on Friday, 24 November at the Rydges Lakeside Hotel.

 The aims of the workshop were to:

  1. discuss analyses of data from the 2004-05 NATSIHS SEWb module and in light of the outcomes;
  2. seek advice on measures used in the 2004-05 survey that, for the 2010-2011 NATSIHS:
    1. could be retained with appropriate amendments and refinements, or
    2. should not be included,
  3. discuss new measures that can be included in the 2010-2011 NATSIHS; and
  4. discuss a way to implement the decisions in 2 and 3 above.
