The Hospitals Data Unit undertakes work to develop, collate and manage the Institute's national hospitals databases. Key aims of the Unit are supporting the quality and timely provision of hospitals data; supporting the use of those data across the institute, providing data for external data requestors, and hospital data custodianship. The unit is also responsible for the collation of the Institute’s medical indemnity claims data and reporting from those data.
