The Child Welfare and Prisoner Health Unit (CWPHU) undertakes a variety of statistical reporting, data collection and data development activities in relation to the welfare of children and young people and their involvement in a range of community services, including: child protection services, juvenile justice, adoptions, and family support services. The unit also undertakes reporting and data development in relation to the health of Australia’s prisoners through the national Prisoner Health Census collection.
