The Continuing and Specialised Care Group develops, maintains and analyses national data to support monitoring and reporting on the health and welfare of key sub-populations (including children, youth, families, older Australians and persons living with disability) and the use of services within a range of health and welfare sectors (including hospital and community-based services focused on mental health, alcohol and drug treatment, palliative care, child protection, juvenile justice and disability services). In addition, the group carries the primary responsibility for producing biennial editions of the Australia's welfare publication.
