The Expenditure and Workforce Unit develops, collates and reports information on health and welfare economics issues. It analyses expenditure trends across the health and welfare sectors, including by disease and for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and provides information relating to the health and community sector workforces in Australia. The EWU also reports oral health statistics, including measures of oral health status and use of dental services for the Australian population.
