Indigenous Analyses and Reporting Unit provides statistics and information on the health and welfare of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The Unit undertakes and coordinates the compilation, analysis and dissemination of data on a range of topics related to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health and Welfare such as mortality, disease prevalence, hospitalisations, and community services. The Unit manages one major data collection on the Northern Territory Emergency Response Child Health Check which includes information on child health and checks and follow-up care. A major analytical project undertaken by the unit is the report 'the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Performance Framework report: detailed analyses', produced every two years. In addition, the unit contributes to the biennial report on the Health and Welfare of the Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
