The Drug Surveys and Services Unit sits in the Continuing and Specialised Care Group at the AIHW. Its main areas of work relate to management of tobacco, alcohol and illicit drug statistics, specifically the National Drug Strategy Household Survey (NDSHS), the Alcohol and Other Drug Treatment Services National Minimum Data Set (AODTS-NMDS), and the National Opioid Pharmacotherapy Statistics Annual Data (NOPSAD) collection. The Unit also manages the relationship between the AIHW and the AIHW's collaborating Dental Statistics and Research Unit.
