Privacy protections

All information collected is protected under the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare Act 1987.

The AIHW is bound by this legislation as well as by privacy legislation, and has a  strong culture of ensuring data security. AIHW has  governance arrangements, policies, practices and procedures designed to ensure that the collection, storage and use of identifiable data within the AIHW protects the privacy of individuals and organisations.
