Provides estimates of welfare services expenditure from 1991-92 to 1996-97 funded by the public sector as well as estimates of the contribution of the private and the household sectors. The major focus of the analysis is on welfare expenditure by the public sector, and estimates are presented by total expenditure, comparison with the GDP, type of expenditure and average per person expenditure.
