Between 1991 and 1999, the podiatry workforce in Australia grew by 42.7%. Curious to know more? Podiatry Labour Force 1999 presents authoritative information on the demographics and employment of registered podiatrists in Australia, and their geographic distribution. The information has been compiled with the cooperation of the podiatry registration boards in Australia, and State and Territory health departments. For the first time, information is also presented on the characteristics of people who consult podiatrists. The report concludes with a discussion on the likely future growth of the profession.
