National Community Services Information Development Plan
The National Community Services Information Plan was developed by the National Community Services Information Management Group as requested by the Standing Committee of Community Services and Income Security Administrators (SCCSISA). The Plan incorporates the results of consultations with community services government agencies and non-government peak organisations. It focuses on the role of community services, the national community services policy agenda, the need for national community services data, a framework for community services data development, development strategies and information development priorities.
AIHW Access no. 1: March 1999
The AIHW's quarterly newsletter provides information on national health and welfare information developments and the activities of the Institute within the national arena. It also includes information on the activities of the Institute's collaborating units and other bodies with which the AIHW cooperates. Access includes profiles of Institute staff and people with whom it has a close connection and reports on recent and forthcoming releases.
National Health Data Dictionary Version 7.0
Updates the data definitions recommended for use in Australian health data collections. Use of the Dictionary will help to ensure that the data are uniform and of high quality. The format for data definitions continues to be based on the international standard for defining data elements issued by the International Organization for Standardization. Version 7 features a new way of organising the data definitions that integrates the definitions with The National Health Information Model. The Dictionary is also available in electronic form via the National Health Information Knowledgebase at the Institute's Internet home page.
Diary of social legislation and policy
The diary records changes made during 1996 in the Commonwealth Government's social policy legislation. It draws together information from a range of sources relating to the development of new policy and legislation, funding of government programs, and recommendations for change in policy and legislation from reviews, inquiries and commissioned research.
