'Cancer survival and prevalence in Australia' presents national cancer data on relative survival and prevalence in Australia for invasive cancers other than non-melanoma skin cancer. It provides trend statistics on the survival of persons diagnosed with invasive cancer from 1982-1986 to 1998-2004, and analyses survival outcomes by age, sex, geographic region and socioeconomic status quintile. The report includes data on prevalence by cancer site, age, sex, geographic region and socioeconomic status quintile. To aid in interpretation, the appendices include incidence numbers and rates by geographic region and socioeconomic status quintile.
