Presents key statistics on the resources, expenditure and revenue of public hospitals and on the services they provide. Detailed statistics on the characteristics and hospital care of admitted patients in both public and private hospitals are also provided. The 1996-97 report widens its focus to include information on hospital performance indicators and more analysis using the casemix (AN-DRG) classification.
