Cardiovascular disease series no. 13

The WHO MONICA Study, Australia, 1984-1993 provides a detailed statistical analysis of the information collected by the two Australian centres that participated in the World Health Organisation's multinational study, designed to study trends in cardiovascular disease and its causes. The report documents rates and trends of coronary events, data on the use of medical treatment before, during and after hospitalisation including information on drug treatments, and population levels of the major risk factors for cardiovascular disease.
