    The AIHW is supporting the Australian Health Ministers’ Advisory Council (AHMAC) to develop a National Health Information Strategy (NHIS) through a stakeholder consultation.

    The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) has completed a review of the International Classification of Diseases 11th revision (ICD-11) to inform and assist decision-makers about its potential for adoption in Australia.

    The AIHW will be conducting a stakeholder engagement survey at the beginning of March 2020.

  • National Primary Health Care Data Asset—consumer engagement

    The AIHW is developing a National Primary Health Care Data Asset. The purpose of this Data Asset is to gain a better understanding of the patient’s journey and experiences within the primary health care system. This includes their reason for an encounter with a clinician, diagnosis, treatment and outcomes.

  • Employees matter: State of the Service report 2018-19 tabled

    The results of the 2019 APS Employee Survey conducted from 6 May to 7 June this year were tabled in both houses of Parliament with the State of the Service report 2018¬-19 on 26 November.
    The report highlights the changing APS and the need to adapt to ensure it is positioned to meet new and emerging challenges into the future.
