Data that informs the data visualisations can be found in the Data section of Cancer data in Australia (CdiA). The following table outlines the range of data provided within CdiA and can be used to assist in navigating through the various Excel workbooks of this report.
The table contains links to the various data and the respective visualisations the data informs. Most of the Excel workbooks provide data for between 60 and 70 different cancers. Please note that incidence data past 2017 are based on projections, and mortality data past 2019 are also based on projections.
Mortality by age
There are over 40 ACIM workbooks and each book focuses on a single cancer group. Data includes:
Cancer incidence ASRs
Counts of cases diagnosed (by age)
Age-specific cancer incidence rates
State and territory ASRs and counts of cases diagnosed
Cancer mortality ASRs
Number of deaths from cancer (by age)
Age-specific cancer mortality rates
State and territory mortality ASRs and deaths from cancer
Population and standard population data
Excel data informing the Cancer data commentaries are excluded from the above table but can be located in the Data section of CdiA. These Excel workbooks include only the data that informs the respective commentaries. Each of the Excel workbooks informing commentaries have the name and number of the commentary within the workbook file name.
