The chart shows the latest data for the rates of smoking in all 31 Primary Health Networks (PHNs). There is also an interactive map of Australia enabling access to information for the 31 PHNs. Indicators can be selected using a drop down menu. The first indicator graphic shows the proportion of all women who gave birth who smoked in the first 20 weeks of pregnancy in 2020. Overall for Australia, 8.8% of all women who gave birth smoked in the first 20 weeks of pregnancy in 2020. The percentage of women who gave birth who smoked in the first 20 weeks of pregnancy in 2020 across PHNs varied between 1.2% and 23%.
