This report presents the current state and progress over time of 14 of 17 targets endorsed in the 2020 National Agreement on Closing the Gap. The trends are analysed by various geographic, demographic and socioeconomic factors. The key factors associated with each target are identified by reviewing Australian and international literature, and by modelling target outcomes using a wide range of population, administrative and survey data. The implications of the findings are discussed in the context of existing policy and programs.
