A report on the proceedings of the Indigenous disability data workshop, held in Canberra in April 1998. The workshop arose out of a long-recognised need for accurate information about the prevalence and types of disability among Indigenous people. Prior to the workshop, little was known about what data were collected or the quality of available statistics in the area. The workshop aimed to explore the current and future status of disability data for Indigenous people. The report is a joint program of the ABS, AIHW and DHFS.
