The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander social and emotional wellbeing (SEWB) measures project provides a dedicated focus on First Nations SEWB. The lack of focus on and use of available culturally relevant SEWB measures has hindered progress in understanding and improving First Nations people’s wellbeing.

This project is a collaboration between the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander SEWB Measurement Consortium and the First Nations Health and Welfare Group of AIHW.

We acknowledge the traditional owners of Country throughout Australia, and their continuing connection to land, sea and community. We pay our respects to them and their cultures, and to Elders both past and present. We would like to thank Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who have contributed to developing culturally relevant and safe measurement tools that are presented in this project.
