This paper reviews the available evidence on housing strategies that improve Indigenous health outcomes. Although demonstrating causality is difficult, housing is very clearly associated with a range of both positive and negative physical, mental, social and economic health and wellbeing outcomes. A large body of evidence demonstrates that programs that improve the condition of Indigenous housing are an effective and highly cost-efficient means of improving Indigenous health outcomes.
