Dashboard

This dashboard displays statistics on the use of annual health checks and selected follow-up activity from 2016 up to the most recently published period. The information primarily indicates the proportion of the First Nations population who had a health check per year (uptake), and what proportion of those participants had certain follow-up or chronic-disease-management-related services within 6 months of their health check.

Most statistics are presented on an annual basis, for a range of geographic levels. Health check activity is available by both calendar year and financial year, using a rolling 12-month format. For time-series, these are presented by reference month – that is – the 12 months ending in June (30th) or the 12 months ending in December (31st). Consecutive reporting periods naturally overlap by 6 months. Follow-up activity is available only by the calendar year in which health checks occurred, for simplicity.

In this report, individuals who received a health check are referred to as participants. This term is used to reflect the voluntary and collaborative nature of 715 health checks. Those individuals who received follow-up activity are referred to as patients.
