People with disability experience higher rates of mental health conditions, yet the services available to them are often complex, hard to navigate, and not always suited to their needs. This is why our inclusive research team focused on mental health. This report shows that people receiving government disability supports are more likely to use hospital care for their mental health. The report is part of Shaping Change: Bringing disability lived expertise and data together, a project that combines lived experience with evidence to drive better outcomes.
