Findings from this report:

In December 2020, there were approximately 58,600 registered charities in Australia
In 2018–19, the total amount claimed by individual taxpayers for donations to charity was $3.9 billion
In 2018–19 there was $43 million in employee donations through workplace giving programs
Total donations to the 2019–20 bushfires and COVID-19 pandemic are not yet known as these appeals are ongoing
