In 2024, 8,348 First Nations people aged 15–39 and 10,583 First Nations adults aged 40 and over were screened for trichiasis in trachoma endemic regions, with an estimated population coverage of 17% and 30%, respectively. Altogether, 18,931 First Nations people aged 15 and over were screened for trichiasis in trachoma endemic regions, with the estimated population coverage 22% (Figure 24).

By jurisdiction
In 2024, the estimated proportion of First Nations adults aged 40 and over in trachoma endemic regions screened for trichiasis was 16% in Western Australia (2,268 people), 15% in South Australia (616 people) and 54% in the Northern Territory (7,556 people) (Figure 25).
