In 2023–24, eye health professionals provided a total of 48,185 occasions of service for First Nations patients under all the outreach programs combined (VOS, RHOF and MOICDP).
By jurisdiction
In 2023–24, the highest number of First Nations occasions of service provided by an eye health professional under the combined outreach programs was in Queensland (14,601) followed by New South Wales (13,042) (Figure 64 – jurisdiction).
Time trend
In 2017–18, health professionals provided 39,020 First Nations occasions of services in relation to eye health under the combined outreach programs. This number increased to 48,185 in 2023–24 (Figure 64 – time trend).
