Perineal status (Figure 23) includes information on the data elements: episiotomy flag, labour complication: third/fourth degree tear, perineal status, perineal status: 1st degree laceration/vaginal graze, perineal status: 2nd degree laceration, perineal status: 3rd degree laceration, perineal status: 4th degree laceration, perineal status: episiotomy, perineal status: intact and perineal status: other perineal laceration, rupture or tear.
