For maternity service providers
The AIHW produces hospital-level NCMI data for Australian public maternity hospitals which can be accessed by eligible staff through a secure, password-protected portal – the Perinatal Portal.
Eligible staff may include employees or authorised representatives of:
- public maternity hospitals
- public antenatal or postnatal maternity services
- Local Hospital Networks
- government health departments.
Access is provided to staff in-confidence, as approved by the state or territory perinatal data custodian, and is conditional on staff abiding by the AIHW’s access conditions. The data will not be made public and are only available to approved users via the Perinatal Portal.
