The National Sports Injury Data Strategy has data development at its foundation, which includes a framework to guide data collection and a data dictionary to standarise individual data elements and the overarching collections for new and existing data assets. The strategy also includes methods development, particularly related to economic and other analysis. Reporting will be developed on AIHW and other sites to maximise impact of the work. Key inputs to these processes will be provided through stakeholder consulation, support from a relevant working group and steering committee, expert advice from the AIHW including its analysts and communications specialists.
