Has the number of valid 52-week full outcome claims for employment in the 12-month period for people with disability changed over time?
The data in the graph and the table below show the number of valid 52-week full outcome claims for employment in the corresponding 12-month period for people with disability (aged 15 and over). Data from 2019–20 to 2024–25 are used. In 2024–25, 19,297 claims were made, compared with 19,540 in 2019–20. The baseline used to track change over time was 16,041 claims in 2020–21.

In 2024–25, there were 6,917 claims made in New South Wales and 78 claims in the Northern Territory.

In 2024–25, 3,292 claims were made for people with disability from CALD backgrounds and 16,005 for the non-CALD group.

The data in the graph and the table below show the number of valid 52-week full outcome claims for employment in the corresponding 12-month period for people with disability (aged 15 and over), grouped by primary disability. In 2024–25, 7,947 claims were made for people with psychiatric disability as their primary disability, compared with 19 claims for those with deafblind as their primary disability.
