Australia’s Disability Strategy Outcomes Framework: initial report is due to be released in early 2023.
This initial report will provide an overview of all measures being tracked under Australia’s Disability Strategy at ‘baseline’ – that is, when the Strategy began in December 2021. Moving forward, baseline data will be the point of comparison against which changes for each of the measures will be compared over the life of the Strategy.
Desired outcome: It is easier for people with disability to get what they need from school, education and training.
Data can currently be reported for 7 measures. For the remaining measures, work will occur over the life of the strategy to enable reporting.
Fewer children enrolled in preschool programs the year before full-time schooling had disability (6.0%) than estimated to be in the community (7.6%)
In 2018, over 2 in 5 people with disability aged 20–64 had completed Year 12 or equivalent
Half of students with disability who started a higher education qualification in 2015 completed it during 2015–2020
