Australia’s Disability Strategy Outcomes Framework: initial report is due to be released in early 2023.
This initial report will provide an overview of all measures being tracked under Australia’s Disability Strategy at ‘baseline’ – that is, when the Strategy began in December 2021. Moving forward, baseline data will be the point of comparison against which changes for each of the measures will be compared over the life of the Strategy.
To know if life is improving for people with disability under Australia’s Disability Strategy, it is important to keep track of what has changed for people with disability over time.
To do this, data are collected from a range of different sources including surveys (such as those run by the Australian Bureau of Statistics) and information collected as part of service provision (such as the National Disability Insurance Scheme). As new data become available, they are added to these webpages.
After each year of the Strategy a report is also released under publications. These reports provide more information about what changed during that year.
For some sources, new data are available multiple times each year. For others, new data are only available once a year. Then there are some sources where it may be several years before new data can be provided.
The schedule below provides an indication of when new information will be added to this site.
