What is being tracked?

Measure: Proportion of people with disability who are satisfied with the quality of care provided by community allied health care sector

This measure is part of the Health and wellbeing priority of the Strategy. This priority is about supporting the health of people with disability by improving their experience when they need to access health services.

The desired outcome is that more people with disability say they are happy with the community-based allied health care they receive.

Does the proportion of people with disability who are satisfied with the quality of care provided by community allied health care sector vary between states and territories?

The data in the graph and the table below show the proportion of people with disability (aged 18 and over) who are satisfied with the quality of care provided by the community allied health care sector, grouped by Australian states and territories. In 2024, 93% of people with disability in the Australian Capital Territory and 87% in New South Wales were satisfied with the quality of allied health care.

    The data in the graph and the table below show the proportion of people with disability (aged 18 and over) who are satisfied with the quality of care provided by the community allied health care sector, by Indigenous status. In 2024, 85% of First Nations people with disability and 89% of non-Indigenous people with disability were satisfied with the quality of allied health care.

In 2024, 89% of men and women with disability were satisfied with the quality of allied health care, as were 89% of people whose gender identity was other than man or woman (please note that the proportion for 'Non-binary/Other' gender category has a high margin of error and should be used with caution).
