Total weekly income of people (with and without disability) aged 15–64.

Computation description

Total weekly income is calculated excluding people whose income was 'Not stated' or 'Amount not known'. The income gap is calculated by subtracting the median gross weekly income of people with disability aged 15–64 living in households from the median gross weekly income of people without disability aged 15–64 living in households.

Expressed in Australian Dollars.

Notes
  1. The ABS method for calculating median income has changed between 2022 and 2018 iterations, and is now consistent with the method used in other ABS household surveys. People with nil income are now included in the calculation. Data reported on this website for 2015 and 2018 have been re-calculated for consistency.
