Notes
  1. Data includes domestic students aged 15–64 only.
  2. VET qualification completion rates 2024 were produced from a new and more extensive data set. Rates for previous cohorts have been recalculated using the new methodology, however the rate for cohort 2015–2019 could not be generated.
  3. Despite similarities in the calculated rates for commencing cohorts, it is not possible to compare the newly generated VET qualification completion rates 2024 with previously released rates.
  4. Completion rates represent the proportion of completion that has occurred four years after the commencing year. For example, rates for the cohort 2020–2024 are for qualifications that commenced in 2020 and were completed by 2024.
  5. VET qualification completion rates 2024 do not currently allow for the generation of completion rates based on the country of birth; CALD status rates are not currently available.
  6. Numbers are rounded to the nearest 5 by NCVER to ensure confidentiality.
  7. Disability status was unknown for 8.0% of the 2020–24 cohort.
