Has the qualification completion rate for VET students with disability compared to the rate for VET students without disability (aged 15–64) changed over time?
The data in the graph and the table below show the qualification completion rate for VET students aged 15–64 with disability, compared with students without disability. Data for cohorts 2016–2020 to 2020–2024 are used. For the 2020–2024 cohort, the qualification completion rate for VET students with disability was 41%, compared with 49% for VET students without disability. For the 2016–2020 cohort, the qualification completion rate for VET students with disability was 38%, compared with 43% for VET students without disability. The baseline used to track change over time was 39% for VET students with disability and 45% for VET students without disability for the 2017–2021 cohort.

The data in the graph and the table below show the qualification completion rate for VET students aged 15–64 with disability, compared with students without disability, grouped by Australian states and territories. For the 2020–2024 cohort, the qualification completion rate for VET students with disability was 49% in Queensland and 34% in the Australian Capital Territory.

The data in the graph and the table below show the qualification completion rate for VET students aged 15–64 with disability, compared with students without disability, by Indigenous status. For the 2020–2024 cohort, 32% of First Nations students with disability and 42% of non-Indigenous students with disability completed their VET qualification.

The data in the graph and the table below show the qualification completion rate for VET students aged 15–64 with disability, compared with students without disability, for males and females. For the 2020–2024 cohort, 39% of males with disability completed their VET qualification compared with 42% of females.

The data in the graph and the table below show the qualification completion rate for VET students aged 15–64 with disability, compared with students without disability, grouped by age. For the 2020–2024 cohort, the qualification completion rate for VET students with disability was 45% for those aged 15–24, compared with 35% for the 25–44 age group, and 38% for the 45–64 age group. For VET students without disability, in the 15–24 age group the qualification completion rate was 52%, compared with 47% in both the 25–44 and 45–64 age groups.

The data in the graph and the table below show the qualification completion rate for VET students aged 15–64 with disability, compared with students without disability, grouped by remoteness. For the 2020–2024 cohort, the qualification completion rate for VET students with disability in major cities was 42%, compared with 37% in remote and very remote areas.
