What is being tracked?

Measure: Proportion of Vocational Education and Training (VET) students with disability (aged 15–64)

This measure is part of the Participation in tertiary education priority of the Strategy. This priority is about supporting people with disability participate in and complete additional education after high school.

The desired outcome is that more students with disability continue their learning through VET.

Has the proportion of VET students with disability (aged 15–64) changed over time?

The data in the graph and the table below show the proportion of VET students with disability (aged 15–64). Data from 2015 to 2022 are used. In 2022, 4.1% of VET students had disability, compared with 4.5% in 2015.

The data in the graph and the table below show the proportion of VET students with disability (aged 15–64), grouped by Australian states and territories. In 2022, in the Australian Capital Territory, 5.6% of VET students had disability, compared with 3.4% in the Northern Territory.
