Since December 2022, of the 6 maternal and child health measures presented in Figure 13, one has improved, 4 showed no (or limited) change, and one has not improved.

The data visualisation below (Figure 13) presents a selected measure, the change over time and a gauge showing the direction of the trend. For more information about these measures see the page for each indicator. Data tables supporting this visualisation are available at Data.

  1. Trend is presented as a linear trend of proportions in comparable periods, including the June and December collection periods. The linear trend lines provide a general impression of the direction of the data. P-values were used to test the statistical significance of the trend. Indicators with no change either have high p-values and/or slopes near zero.

Notes

  1. Only data from December 2022 onwards are included in the trends presented (see Comparisons over time for more information). For trends for comparable periods before December 2022, see the visualisations on each indicator page. For data for all available periods see Data. For more information on changes to indicator specifications see Changes to indicators.
  2. Some of the indicators in the national Key Performance Indicators (nKPI) collection have, or can be split into, more than one part.
  3. PI13: First antenatal visit before 14 weeks is calculated as a proportion of female First Nations regular clients who gave birth within the previous 12 months who had an antenatal visit and gestational age recorded at their first antenatal visit.
  4. For more information, including on interpreting changes over time, see Technical notes.
