FDV pilot – Key resources for participants

The pilot data collection period runs from 2 March 2026 to 31 May 2026. To support participating service outlets during the pilot, this page will be updated regularly with important information.

Box 1 contains the most up-to-date versions of key materials, including the pilot user guide and the pilot template.

Technical stream

Some outlets participating in the pilot data collection may also be participating in the technical stream of this project. The AIHW has engaged a third-party consultant to improve understanding of existing client data systems and advise on the technical implications of a future national data collection.

Service outlets may have been asked to meet with the consultant to discuss these topics. The focus of the technical stream of work is identifying potential longer-term solutions for a future ongoing collection (if one were to be established). It is a separate but complementary piece of work to the one-off pilot data collection currently being undertaken.
