Indicator 1: Change in mental health consumer's clinical outcomes

Description: The proportion of mental health-related episodes of care where:

  • significant improvement,
  • significant deterioration, and
  • no significant change

were identified between baseline and follow-up of completed clinician-rated outcome measures.

In the last 10 years, the proportion of episodes reporting significant improvement after completed mental health care varied between 71–74% in inpatient settings and 48–52% in ambulatory settings.
